| Welcome
to Forstall Art Center. The Forstall family has enjoyed serving
the creative community in Birmingham area since 1990. Over the
years, we've become well known for carrying an incredible breadth
of product (over 40,000 items), providing you with a courteous
and knowledgeable staff, and providing creative solutions for
our customers. |

Located
in Homewood, Alabama in the Palisades shopping center on
Oxmoor Road, Forstall Art is a favorite of fine artists,
students, and hobbyists, as well as designers, architects,
and commercial artists.
Currently Forstall Art offers over 4,000 sq ft of art materials
and framing. Our stock spans the entire array of art supplies
and custom framing, including a wide selection of paints,
brushes, drawing materials, graphic supplies, printmaking
and bookmaking supplies, sculpture, pottery clays, glazes
and tools, easels, drafting furniture, etc… all at
competitive prices.
Our Canvas & Panel Department is outstanding. We carry
over 1,000 different kinds of canvases and painting surfaces,
including a wide variety of wooden panels. We also build
custom canvases.
We offer over 1,000 different kinds of papers from mills
and papermakers around the world, and are known throughout
the area as a great source for decorative sheets as well
as printmaking, pastel, and traditional artist's papers.
Our Custom Framing Department offers expert custom work
at very affordable prices. Our experienced framers have
innovative ways of framing almost anything, and will work
with you to find the perfect way to display your artwork
or treasures using archival and lasting materials.
Forstall Art is not only a source of fine and graphic supplies,
but of creative inspiration as well. We seek to inspire
and educate our community by staying current with new materials
and how best to use them. All of our staff members have
Fine Art degrees or are actively pursuing art degrees, and
can assist in the selection of materials for any creative
project. We are supportive of the art community and are
committed to giving back.
Our building also has a spacious, well lit studio space
where we offer classes, workshops and demos from extraordinary
local and visiting instructors, as well as host a weekly
Live Model figure drawing group. Whether you make art as
a hobby or wish to become a professional artist, our teachers
can help you increase your artistic skills.
