Gamblin & Strathmore working artist, Anna Fox Ryan, is back to teach an oil painting workshop at Forstall Art Center! Anna’s work has been featured in galleries around the world and in various publications including The South Magazine & American Artists Drawing Magazine. During this 2 day workshop you will work from a simple food still life, allowing you to concentrate on new processes and techniques. You will have the option to paint directly or indirectly and with a complimentary or split complimentary color scheme to emphasize the use of color theory and color mixing while you work and with or without oil painting mediums. On day one the indirect painters will set up the underpaintings using galkyd or galkyd lite. Direct painters will work on one painting directly from start to finish using any medium they choose. On day 2 the indirect painters will glaze their underpaintings while the direct painters will have the option of continuing their original painting or starting a new one. Anna will paint along with the attendees when she is not giving group and individual instruction in order to demonstrate her personal working process.
