Damar resin is harvested from trees in Malaysia and
these trees are slashed yearly to ooze sap for harvesting.
These trees are not damaged from this process and
it is very similar to the tapping of maple trees for
syrup. Packaged in crystal form, Enkaustikos uses
Damar resin to produce a harder, more durable paint
film. Damar, in combination with beeswax produces
a paint film with a higher index of refraction. |

(USP) grade. It has been filtered and purified without
the use of harsh chemicals or bleaching agents. This

(called prills), just like you see in the photo. You
can easily use a tiny bit or a bulk amount. It has
the same natural scent that you find with all pure
beeswax. |
